About JTruffles
Taking the "J" from Jean Thompson, owner and CEO, JTruffles, are a new brand of chocolate ganache truffles with unique shapes reminiscent of the glamorous Art Deco movement of the 1920s. These pyramid shaped truffles find their roots in ageless architecture from the early days of chocolate history when the Mayans used cacao as currency. JTruffles use that base shape and layer on art deco details that evoke memories of America's glory days of opulence and excess. Each center is hand made in small batches and deposited into precision made molds that result in exquisitely thin shells that are easy to bite and give the ideal center-to-shell ratio for a truffle.
JTruffles are available in nine delicious flavors, all made from the finest, all natural ingredients, such as European chocolate, fresh Northwest cream with 40% butterfat and hand ground ingredients blended to make exquisite ganache. These soft creamy centers are covered in thin chocolate shells that were designed to capture the consumer's eye in the crowded chocolate case. These truffles will be beautiful to display and behold, as well as delicious to eat.
The debut flavors are:
Magma 65 Dark - 65% cacao dark chocolate
Crème 40 Milk - high cacao milk chocolate and cream.
Salt Water Caramel - firm, chewy caramel with dash of salt.
Pura Vida Coffee - Turkish ground espresso beans tempered with cream.
Savory Hazelnut - gently ground hazelnut pieces, lightly salted.
Cherry Praline - fresh dried cherries ground with roasted pecans.
Crème Brûlée - rich vanilla custard with caramelized sugar crunch.
Limoncello - white chocolate ganache and lemon zest.
JTruffles represents the juxtaposition of soft, creamy, decadent centers with angular, shiny architectural chocolate exteriors. Today's chocolate making technology enables the modern ganache to break out of the round dome molds of yesterday.
